This guide is aimed at those who are brand new to MailSauce and those that are new to email marketing altogether. However, if you're neither of those, we still welcome you to read this - there's some extremely useful information here, and maybe even some speedy tips for those of you who are already firmly stuck in to the platform!
I think it goes without saying but obviously in order to follow this you'll need a MailSauce account. If you don't have one already...
Create an accountStarting with your contacts is the most preferable method of starting your marketing crusade. When we say 'contacts', we're refering specifically to your customers and users - the people that will be receiving your emails.
You can find your contact lists by clicking 'Contacts' in the navigation at the top of the page. Click 'Create new contacts' at the top of the contacts page. You'll be asked for a name and a brief description of how members came to join your contacts list. Your customers will never see your contact list name, but we may show them the description of how they signed up. Once you're happy, click 'Create'.
If you're completely new to email-marketing, it's likely that you won't have any contacts to upload just yet. If you don't have any, you can just ignore the rest of the steps in this section.
To start importing/uploading contacts, click on the contact list you just created. Click on the 'Contacts' tab, and then click 'Upload contacts'. You'll want to choose a CSV that contains all of your customers names and email addresses.
If you need help setting up a CSV file of your customers, or how to create an importable dataset of your customers, please read this:

When creating messages, you have three format choices - Text, HTML, or the MailSauce message builder. They're all fundamentally very simple really...
Text editor - This is a plain text editor. It's very similar to the kind of thing you'd use in Gmail or Outlook.
HTML editor - This is for the more advanced users that know how to create HTML emails.
Message builder/drag-and-drop editor - For most users, this is most-likely the editor that you'll want to use. It's a drag and drop editor with a very simple interface that allows you to create beautiful and responsive emails fairly quickly.
If you want to know more about all 3 options then you can read about it here, but for the purposes of this guide, this all you really need to know.
